Logitech G403 Overview

The Logitech G403 Wireless Mouse is a high-performance wireless mouse that is a very popular option among gamers who want to be able to switch between both wired and wireless connections. It has an all-black design with fully customizable RGB lighting accents in both the G logo and the scroll wheel.

G403: Wired + Wireless Connection

The G403 has a built-in rechargeable battery that charges any time the mouse is plugged in through the included USB to micro-USB cable. The G403's wired USB connection gives you the option to plug in directly to any computer without having to worry about switching over the wireless USB dongle adapter.

G403: Battery Life

You can expect about 20 hours of wireless use before you'll need to recharge. The Logitech Options software will notify you when you hit about 20% battery remaining so you can avoid running out of battery during important moments.

G403: Weight

The G403 comes with a removable 10 gram weight (pictured below) that magnetically clips into place on the bottom of the mouse so you can switch between 97 grams for a lighter mouse and 107 grams for those who prefer a heavier mouse.

G403: Tracking Resolution

The G403's tracking resolution can be set between 200 and 12,000 dpi, which is easily a broad enough sensitivity range for any potential uses you may have.

G403: Who Should Buy the Logitech G403?

The Logitech G403 is a suitable mouse, and an excellent choice, for the vast majority of users looking for a high-performance wireless mouse. If you want customizable RGB lighting, a built-in rechargeable battery, and no AA battery hassle then go for the G403.

G403: Personal Experience

The Logitech G403 has been my daily driver for the past 2 years, and I would confidently recommend it to anyone in the market for a wireless mouse. The scroll wheel is super smooth, there are 4 programmable buttons (not counting the left and right-click buttons), and the overall feel of the hardware quality is very premium. At the end of the day, it's a snappy, high-quality mouse that has lasted me over 2 years with no issues whatsoever.

Also, if you're into it, there are some really cool RGB customization features using the free Logitech G Hub software including making the RGB lights pulse with the beat of whatever music you're playing.

Logitech G603 Overview

The Wireless Logitech G603 is a high-performance wireless mouse that is largely advertised towards gamers, but has gained a lot of popularity outside of the gaming community due to its sleek, ergonomic design, premium quality feel, and lack of gaming-style RGB lighting or branding. This mouse won't feel out of place in any setting whether you're in the office or sniping headshots in Halo.

G603: Wireless Connection

The G603 connects to your computer via a small USB nano receiver that plugs into a standard USB port. If you lose or forget your USB receiver, you can connect without it via Bluetooth, though the mouse performance won't be as fast as with the USB dongle.

G603: Battery Life

You can expect about 500 hours of wireless use from two AA batteries before having to replace them.

G603 Weight

The G603 weighs just 89 grams without any batteries in it. The G603 has a unique advantage over many mouses when it comes to customizing its weight due to the fact that it can work with either one or two AA batteries inserted. With a single 15 gram Lithium AA battery (the lightest AA batteries available), the G603 weighs 104 grams. From there, those who are particular about their mouse weight can mix and match different types of AA batteries to land at their desired weight. With two 31 gram rechargeable Ni-MH AA batteries (the heaviest AA batteries) you can get the G603 to a whopping 151 grams.

G603: Tracking Resolution

Like the G403, the G603's tracking resolution can be set between 200 and 12,000 dpi, which is easily a broad enough sensitivity range for any potential uses you may have.

G603: Who Should Buy the Logitech G603?

The Logitech G603 is the most versatile wireless mouse under $100. It looks great and performs well in any setting and is an excellent purchase for anyone who wants premium mouse for work, or finds themselves switching between work and gaming frequently. This mouse is perfect for those that dislike RGB lighting, don't want to deal with any mouse wires whatsoever, and/or want to customize the weight of the mouse.

G603: Personal Experience

The Logitech G603 has been my wife's daily driver for the past year and a half. We bought it because of how similar it was to the G403, with which I had a great experience with. With her being a teacher, she didn't want something with flashy RGB at work, nor did she want to worry about recharging it with a USB cable.

It's the perfect wireless mouse for her to use with her work laptop that she transports to and from home and school. The wireless USB receiver stays plugged into her laptop and she can toss the mouse into the side pocket of her school bag. I've used my wife's G603 from time to time over the last year or so and it feels like the exact same mouse, just slightly heavier.

If my G403 were to break tomorrow, I'd probably sacrifice the custom RGB lighting to replace it with a G603 for the sake of battery convenience. But then again, I do really like my G403...

G603: Important Note

A small number of the Logitech G603 units reportedly have defective scroll wheels that cause the screen to jitter annoyingly when scrolling down a page. If you are interested in purchasing a Logitech G603 Wireless Mouse, I recommend purchasing through Amazon as Amazon is notoriously easier to work with when it comes to returns and exchanges than working directly with retailers.

G403 vs G603: Price Comparison and Where to Buy

Both the Logitech G403 and Logitech G603 have very similar pricing. The Logitech G403 is becoming increasingly difficult to find as its production has been replaced by it's direct predecessor, the Logitech G703. The Logitech G403 Wireless Mouse can be found on Amazon, though the price tends to fluctuate depending on supply. If you can find it for under $100, then consider it a solid deal. The same goes for the G603, though it is much more commonly in stock on Amazon. As mentioned above, we recommend purchasing the G603, and most electronics for that matter, through Amazon due to how easy their return and exchange policy is to work with.
